Local Initiatives Support Corporation helps communities as they
improve the physical and economic condition of their neighborhoods.
LISC’s efforts are based on the proven principle that
sustainable revitalization is supported best when redevelopment
directly engages community residents and stakeholders.
LISC is a national, nonprofit organization that supports locally-based community development corporations (CDCs) and their immediate partners as they serve as critical vehicles in the neighborhood revitalization process. CDCs are resident–driven nonprofits that create and implement comprehensive projects to address the physical, economic and social development needs of their communities.
